Disclosure
What can be paid for on this site, what never can be, and how a paid link would be marked if one ever existed.
Ludbee takes no vendor money today. This page says, in one place, what that would look like if it changed — what could be paid for, what never can be, and how a paid link would be marked if one ever existed.
What money can never buy
No payment changes a figure, a ranking, a peer set or the order of any list. That is a rule about every page on this site, not a promise about a feature. If ordering were for sale, every recommendation here would be unfalsifiable — you could never tell whether a company appeared because it fit or because it paid. Should the site ever take vendor money, it will be for something that has no effect on ordering, and Terms will say what it is before the first sale.
Claim-your-listing
The only vendor revenue line this site plans is a flat fee that lets a company verify its own listing: correct a figure, add a product, fix pricing, and receive a dated verified marker plus basic view analytics for its own page. It does not exist yet — nothing on the site is claimed or verified today.
The fee buys accuracy work, not visibility. A claimed listing is not moved, is not boosted in any list, and does not appear differently in search or comparison results than an unclaimed one of the same quality. A verification marker is a data-quality signal — a company confirmed its own record — not a ranking one.
Affiliate links
A product's page may one day carry an affiliate link: a URL that pays this
site a commission if you sign up through it. None exist today —
the field for one (affiliate_url) is defined in the data schema
and null on every record.
If one is ever added, the link itself carries rel="sponsored"
so search engines and browsers can see the arrangement in the page's own
markup, and the word Sponsored appears next to the link
itself, not just on this page. An affiliate arrangement changes nothing else
about the record: not its description, not its capability tags, not whether
it appears in a comparison, and not where it sits in any list.
What is not for sale
- Rank, order, or a place in a peer set. Covered above, and it is the one rule none of the others qualify.
- A better description, a rewritten reason, or an added capability. Every fact on this site is meant to be checkable against a public source; a fact paid into existence would not be.
- Removal of a competitor, or of an unflattering comparison. Nothing here is a reputation service.
Reading this alongside the other pages
Methodology explains how the ranking is computed and what a blank figure means. Terms is where a future vendor arrangement will be named before it takes effect. This page is where the policy behind both of those is stated on its own, for anyone who only needs the money question answered.
