Apple's own "How to get Siri AI" page gives the whole route as a setting on a device already owned: "After you update your device, go to Settings, tap or click Siri, then tap or click Try Siri AI (Beta)... This will add you to a waitlist, and wait times can vary." The requirement is hardware, not a purchase: "To use Siri AI, you need an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or Apple Vision Pro."
