chat.z.ai is a client-rendered app and exposes no readable plan information; re-checked 2026-09-06 against https://z.ai/sitemap.xml, whose only pricing-bearing routes (/subscribe, /usage-bundles, /landing-page/coding-plan, /payment) all belong to the GLM Coding Plan or the model API, not to the chat app. No consumer pricing page for the chat product exists.

How it compares

Official documentation · 13 Sep 2026

https://z.ai (bare domain) redirects straight to chat.z.ai as its own top-level product, distinct from https://z.ai/model-api -- a separately branded API platform page with its own content. Chat is not bundled inside the API platform or any other Z.ai offering.

Name

Official documentation · 13 Sep 2026

Re-checked in a real browser 2026-09-13: page title 'Z.ai - Advanced AI Chatbot & Agent powered by GLM-5.3-Flash', in-app heading 'Welcome to Z.ai'. Supersedes the 2026-09-06 note that the body was unreadable -- a real browser renders a genuine auth screen and footer ('Powered by Open WebUI'), though the post-login product interface itself was not entered.

URL

Official documentation · 13 Sep 2026

Confirmed live 2026-09-13: the bare https://z.ai domain 302-redirects straight to https://chat.z.ai/.
